** This is the double-refined version of our Essentia luxury sateen bed linen made of certified organic cotton.
This has a subtle linear bourdon embroidery made of fine mako cotton, also from certified organic farming on the side of the bed linen. The term bourdon embroidery comes from couture in France, where it is called "point de bourdon". The subtle hand-embroidered initials are made from the same thread and color as the bourdon embroidery.
The initials are only applied to the shams and on the open side. This small but fine detail gives the bed linen a special touch.
Our model Essentia is produced in more than exceptionally fine sateen 600 TC in two ply yarns.
A timeless classic look is reinterpreted with reduced essential cuts and minimal details. In a frenetic world, Essentia looks simple, functional and calm thanks to its clear lines.
For our sateen bedding 600 TC we use extra-long staple fibers. There is no higher category than extra-long staple cotton fibers. The production of such fine fibers accounts for only about 2% of world cotton production (Source: ICAC, 2015). For our sateen 600 TC two ply threads are used for more durability. To weave such fine yarns into such uniform fabrics you need first-class weavers.
It is important to use long or extra long and fine fibers, because the softness and durability increases with the length and fineness of the fibers.
