OEKO TEX SHEETS
Sleep like the elite with our luxury oeko tex sheets from Italy. For our luxury sheets we use fabrics from first class weavers. Either these weavers or their dyeing and finishing partners are OEKO-TEX® Standard 100 certified. This means that all the fabrics we use for our sheets are certified.
What does OEKO-TEX® certified mean?
This certification means that textiles, in our case the fabrics we use, are tested for harmful substances. This guarantees maximum consumer safety. OEKO-TEX® categorizes products in different classes. Products that come into contact with the skin, are usually in the product class II. Our fabrics are categorized in the product class I. This class has the strictest requirements and is usually for baby products. OEKO-TEX® is a company based in Switzerland. A part of their mission is to create trust in textiles. They collaborate with independent testing laboratories in many countries. There is also one here in Italy.

Compared to other fabrics, a percale is very fine and has a compact texture. A percale is created with a plain weave, which makes the sheets very resistant. For this reason a percale is always slightly less soft and drapy than a sateen. In appearance a percale is opaque and smooth and has a firm and soft hand. A percale can be used throughout the year.

Compared to other fabrics, a sateen is slightly shiny, which makes it elegant. A sateen, in comparison with a percale, is adherent, soft and drapy. Its appearance is unstructured, homogeneous and smooth. Sateen bed sheets are recommended for autumn, winter and spring.
